Why Desktop Telegram is Different
Telegram Desktop (Mac/Windows/Linux) is a full-featured native app — not a web wrapper. It's fast, keyboard-driven, and can be running in the background processing notifications while you work. Many power users do all their Telegram from desktop and only pick up the phone for voice/video.

Multi-Device Setup
Telegram supports up to 4 linked accounts and multiple active sessions (phone + desktop + tablet + web). All stay in sync in real-time. Go to Settings → Devices to see all active sessions. On Telegram Desktop: Settings → Link Mobile Device to pair your phone via QR code in seconds.

💡 Pro Tip
On Mac, right-click the Telegram dock icon → Options → Keep in Dock. Then set it to open at login (Preferences → System → Login Items). Telegram is always running, always synced, zero friction.
